Strength exercise

Barbell T-Bar Row

How to do it

  1. Straddle a landmine anchored or corner anchored barbell and stand with feet outside the bar, knees slightly bent.
  2. Hinge forward until your torso is near parallel to the floor and grip the bar close to the loaded end with both hands.
  3. Brace your core and set your shoulders back before lifting the bar off the floor slightly.
  4. Row the bar straight up toward your sternum, driving the elbows past your ribs and contracting the latissimus dorsi and biceps.
  5. Breathe out as you pull, hold the contraction briefly, then lower the weight under control to just short of the floor.
  6. Keep your straddle stance fixed and your spine neutral; avoid jerking the weight up with your lower back.
