Barbell Incline Bench Press

How to do it

  1. Set an incline bench to a moderate angle and lie back with the feet flat on the floor.
  2. Grip the barbell slightly wider than shoulder width and unrack it over the upper chest.
  3. Lower the bar under control to the upper chest, just below the collarbones.
  4. Press the bar up and slightly back, driving through the chest and shoulders to full extension.
  5. Keep the shoulder blades pulled together and down against the bench throughout the set.
  6. Exhale while pressing and keep the hips from rising off the bench.
