Flexibility exercise
Wrist Flexion/Extension
How to do it
- Sit or stand and extend one arm forward with the palm facing up.
- Use the other hand to gently draw the fingers and palm back toward the forearm until a stretch is felt through the forearm flexors.
- Hold briefly while breathing steadily, then turn the palm to face down and press the back of the hand gently downward to stretch the opposite side of the wrist.
- Move between the two positions in a slow, controlled rhythm rather than snapping through the range.
- Repeat the flexion and extension sequence for 8 to 10 repetitions on each hand.
- Lower the arm and shake out the hand and forearm to finish.
