Flexibility exercise

Wrist Circles

How to do it

  1. Stand or sit tall and extend one or both arms forward at shoulder height.
  2. Let the hands relax loosely, then begin rotating the wrists in slow, controlled circles.
  3. Circle through the full range of motion, moving from flexion to one side bend to extension to the other side bend in one smooth loop.
  4. Keep the forearm still so the movement isolates the wrist joint rather than the elbow or shoulder.
  5. Breathe naturally and circle for 8 to 10 rotations in one direction before reversing.
  6. Slow the circles to a stop and shake the hands out lightly to finish.
