Strength exercise

TRX T-Fly

How to do it

  1. Grip the TRX handles overhead and lean back from the anchor point with arms extended, feet set shoulder-width apart in a straight plank line.
  2. Brace the core and keep the body rigid so the arms, not the hips, drive the movement.
  3. Pull the handles toward your chest while spreading the arms out to the sides until the body forms a T shape, squeezing the shoulder blades together.
  4. Keep the palms facing down or forward and the arms roughly shoulder height at the top of the T.
  5. Exhale on the pull to the T position, then inhale as you slowly extend the arms back overhead to the start.
  6. Hold a steady plank line throughout, since letting the hips drop turns the row into a rounded, less controlled pull.
