Strength exercise

Triceps Pushdown

How to do it

  1. Attach a straight or angled bar to a high pulley on a cable machine and grip it with hands shoulder width apart.
  2. Stand with feet staggered, elbows pinned to the sides of the torso, and brace the core.
  3. Push the bar down by extending the elbows and contracting the triceps until the arms are straight.
  4. Squeeze the triceps hard at the bottom without letting the elbows drift forward.
  5. Let the bar rise back up under control until the forearms are close to parallel with the floor.
  6. Exhale on the push down and keep the shoulders still instead of leaning the torso into the movement.
