Strength exercise
Band Triceps Pushdown
How to do it
- Anchor a resistance band overhead and stand facing it with feet hip-width apart, holding the band with both hands at chest height.
- Bend the elbows and tuck them against the sides with a firm grip on the band.
- Brace the core and keep the upper arms pinned against the ribs throughout the movement.
- Push the band down by straightening the elbows, driving through the triceps brachii until the arms are fully extended toward the floor.
- Exhale while pushing down and inhale as the forearms return slowly to chest height.
- Avoid letting the elbows flare outward or using the shoulders to help drive the band down.
