Strength exercise

Band Chest Press

How to do it

  1. Anchor a resistance band behind you at chest height and hold one handle in each hand, stepping forward until the band is taut.
  2. Stand in a staggered stance with the core braced and the handles at chest level, elbows bent and out to the sides.
  3. Press both handles forward and together in front of the chest, extending through the triceps as the arms straighten.
  4. Squeeze the chest at full extension without locking the elbows aggressively.
  5. Return the handles slowly back toward the chest, controlling the band's pull rather than letting it snap back.
  6. Keep the wrists neutral and the shoulders down throughout each repetition.
