Towel Pull-up

How to do it

  1. Drape two towels over the pull-up bar, one for each hand, spaced about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Grip the hanging ends of the towels firmly with both hands and hang with arms fully extended.
  3. Brace the core and pull your chest toward the bar, driving the elbows down and back.
  4. Keep the grip locked tight on the fabric throughout the pull, since the towels add an unstable, thicker hold compared to the bar.
  5. Exhale as your chin clears the bar, then inhale as you lower back to a full hang with control.
  6. Reset your grip on the towels between reps if it slips, rather than rushing into the next pull with a loose hold.
