Smith Machine Reverse Shrug

How to do it

  1. Stand inside a Smith machine with the bar behind you at arm's length.
  2. Grip the bar with an overhand grip behind your back.
  3. Shrug your shoulders up and back.
  4. Squeeze your mid and lower trapezius at the top.
  5. Slowly lower your shoulders back down.
  6. The reverse position emphasizes the mid and lower traps.
