Strength exercise

Single Arm Lat Pulldown

How to do it

  1. Attach a single handle to the lat pulldown cable and sit with the thighs secured under the pad.
  2. Grip the handle with one hand, arm extended overhead, and brace the core.
  3. Pull the handle down toward the hip on that side, driving the elbow down and back to engage the lat and bicep.
  4. Lean slightly away from the working side to let the lat fully contract.
  5. Extend the arm back up slowly to a full stretch.
  6. Keep the torso from twisting to help pull the weight down.
