Flexibility exercise
Shoulder Stretch (Cross Body)
How to do it
- Stand or sit tall with the shoulders relaxed away from the ears.
- Raise one arm to shoulder height and draw it straight across the front of the chest.
- Use the opposite forearm or hand to hook the raised arm just above or below the elbow and gently pull it closer to the torso.
- Feel a stretch along the back and outside of the shoulder being pulled while keeping both shoulders level, breathing evenly.
- Hold the position for 20 to 30 seconds without rotating the torso to compensate.
- Release the arm slowly and repeat on the opposite side.
