Strength exercise

Ring Row

How to do it

  1. Set gymnastic rings to around waist height and grip one ring in each hand with palms facing each other.
  2. Walk the feet forward and lean back until the arms are extended and the body forms a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Pull the chest up toward the rings by driving the elbows back, working the lats and biceps through the row.
  4. Keep the body rigid with the core braced so the hips do not sag toward the floor.
  5. Squeeze the shoulder blades together at the top before lowering back to a full arm extension with control.
  6. Adjust the foot position closer to the anchor point to make the row harder, exhaling on the pull and inhaling on the way down.
