Strength exercise
Reverse Fly (Light)
How to do it
- Hold a light weight in each hand and hinge forward at the hips until your torso is close to parallel with the floor.
- Let your arms hang straight down with a soft bend in the elbows and your feet set shoulder-width apart.
- Brace your core, then lift both arms out to the sides in a slow arc until they reach shoulder height.
- Squeeze the posterior deltoid briefly at the top before lowering the weights back down under full control.
- Keep the tempo slow and deliberate throughout, matching the light load with a strict, controlled pace.
- Keep your torso still in the hinged position rather than using a jerking motion to swing the weights upward.
