Strength exercise

Push-up (One Arm)

How to do it

  1. Kneel or stand in a wide-leg staggered stance for balance, placing one hand on the floor under the shoulder.
  2. Tuck the free hand behind the back or extend it out to the side for counterbalance.
  3. Brace the core hard to resist the torso rotating toward the working side.
  4. Lower the chest toward the floor under strict control, keeping the elbow tracking close to the ribs.
  5. Press through the working palm to extend the arm fully, driving through the chest and triceps.
  6. Exhale on the press and keep the hips square, resisting any twist as the load shifts to one side.
