Strength exercise

Overhead Triceps Extension

How to do it

  1. Stand or sit tall holding one dumbbell with both hands, arms extended straight overhead.
  2. Brace the core and keep the upper arms close to the ears throughout the set.
  3. Bend the elbows to lower the dumbbell slowly behind the head, stretching the triceps.
  4. Lower until the forearms are roughly parallel to the floor.
  5. Extend the arms back to full lockout, squeezing the triceps at the top.
  6. Keep the elbows pointing forward rather than letting them flare outward.
