Flexibility exercise

Neck Rotation

How to do it

  1. Stand or sit tall with shoulders relaxed and facing forward.
  2. Keep the shoulders and torso still and facing forward throughout.
  3. Turn your head slowly to one side, looking over the shoulder as far as feels controlled.
  4. Turn back through center to look over the opposite shoulder in the same smooth path.
  5. Feel the turning motion working the sternocleidomastoid on the side of the neck opposite the direction you look.
  6. Move at a slow, even tempo and breathe naturally throughout.
