Flexibility exercise
Neck Rotation
How to do it
- Stand or sit tall with shoulders relaxed and facing forward.
- Keep the shoulders and torso still and facing forward throughout.
- Turn your head slowly to one side, looking over the shoulder as far as feels controlled.
- Turn back through center to look over the opposite shoulder in the same smooth path.
- Feel the turning motion working the sternocleidomastoid on the side of the neck opposite the direction you look.
- Move at a slow, even tempo and breathe naturally throughout.
