Strength exercise

Neck Flexion (Manual Resistance)

How to do it

  1. Sit or stand tall and place both palms flat against the forehead, fingers pointing up.
  2. Brace the core and press the head forward into the hands while the hands push back with matched effort.
  3. Allow the chin to travel slightly toward the chest as the sternocleidomastoid works against the resistance.
  4. Hold the effort for a steady two count, breathing out during the push.
  5. Ease off gradually and return the head to a neutral upright position without letting it snap back.
  6. Repeat for the prescribed reps, keeping the resistance level consistent between repetitions.
