Medicine Ball Push-up
How to do it
- Place one hand on top of a medicine ball and the other on the floor, setting up in a plank position.
- Position the hands so the shoulders stay level despite the height difference between the ball and the floor.
- Brace the core and glutes to keep the hips square and the body in a straight line.
- Lower the chest toward the ball by bending both elbows, then press back up to full extension, working the chest and triceps unevenly across the two sides.
- Inhale on the way down, exhale pressing up, keeping the descent controlled to avoid the ball shifting.
- Avoid letting the torso rotate toward the elevated hand; keep the hips and shoulders square throughout.
