Machine Shrug

How to do it

  1. Sit or stand at the shrug machine and grasp the handles with your arms straight.
  2. Keep your arms extended and your core braced throughout.
  3. Elevate your shoulders straight up toward your ears.
  4. Squeeze your traps hard at the top of the movement.
  5. Lower the weight under control until you feel a stretch in your traps.
  6. Avoid rolling your shoulders; move straight up and down.
