Strength exercise
Leverage Row Machine
How to do it
- Sit or stand at the leverage row machine and grip the handles where they meet your torso at chest height.
- Set your chest against the pad if provided, or brace your core if standing, to stabilize your torso.
- Pull the lever arm handles back toward your ribs, driving your elbows behind your body along the machine's arc.
- Squeeze the latissimus dorsi and biceps fully at the back of the pull before the pivot reaches its stop.
- Exhale as you pull, hold briefly, then extend your arms forward under control to reset the lever arm.
- Keep your torso still against the pad or brace throughout; avoid using body english to swing the lever arm.
