Strength exercise

Kettlebell Skull Crusher

How to do it

  1. Lie on a bench or the floor holding a kettlebell by the horns with both hands directly above the chest.
  2. Keep the upper arms still and vertical while bending the elbows to lower the kettlebell toward the forehead.
  3. Extend through the elbows to press the kettlebell back to the starting position, working the triceps brachii through the full range.
  4. Keep the elbows pointed forward and tucked rather than flaring out to the sides during the lowering phase.
  5. Inhale as the kettlebell lowers toward the forehead and exhale while pressing it back up.
  6. Lower with a controlled tempo rather than dropping the kettlebell quickly toward the head.
