Strength exercise

Kettlebell Press (Single Arm)

How to do it

  1. Clean one kettlebell to shoulder height and stand with feet hip width apart, keeping your free arm relaxed at your side.
  2. Brace your core to keep your torso square and resist leaning toward the working side.
  3. Press the kettlebell straight overhead in a strict, controlled path until your arm locks out, working the shoulders and triceps brachii.
  4. Lower the kettlebell back to shoulder height slowly, keeping the same tight rack position each rep.
  5. Exhale on the press up and inhale as you lower the bell.
  6. Keep your ribs down throughout the press rather than arching your lower back to finish the lockout.
