Strength exercise
Kettlebell Press (Single Arm)
How to do it
- Clean one kettlebell to shoulder height and stand with feet hip width apart, keeping your free arm relaxed at your side.
- Brace your core to keep your torso square and resist leaning toward the working side.
- Press the kettlebell straight overhead in a strict, controlled path until your arm locks out, working the shoulders and triceps brachii.
- Lower the kettlebell back to shoulder height slowly, keeping the same tight rack position each rep.
- Exhale on the press up and inhale as you lower the bell.
- Keep your ribs down throughout the press rather than arching your lower back to finish the lockout.
