Strength exercise

Cable Triceps Pushdown (Rope)

How to do it

  1. Stand facing a high pulley with a rope attachment, gripping one end in each hand with palms facing each other and elbows pinned to your sides.
  2. Brace your core and keep your shoulders down and back, holding the upper arms still against your torso.
  3. Press the rope down and slightly apart, splitting your hands outward at the bottom to fully extend through the triceps brachii.
  4. Let the rope rise back up under control until your forearms are roughly parallel to the floor, keeping the elbows fixed.
  5. Exhale as you press down and inhale as the rope returns to the top.
  6. Avoid letting the elbows drift forward away from your sides; keep them anchored throughout the set.
