Strength exercise

Kettlebell Bent Over Row (Single Arm)

How to do it

  1. Hold a kettlebell in one hand and hinge forward at the hips until your torso is near parallel to the floor, resting your free hand lightly on your thigh for balance.
  2. Let the kettlebell hang at arm's length below your shoulder and brace your core to keep your spine flat.
  3. Row the kettlebell up toward your ribs, driving your elbow back close to your torso.
  4. Squeeze the latissimus dorsi and biceps of the working side at the top without letting your torso rotate.
  5. Exhale as you pull, pause briefly, then lower the kettlebell under control back to a full hang.
  6. Keep your torso angle fixed throughout the set; avoid twisting your shoulders toward the working side.
