High Cable Lateral Raise

How to do it

  1. Set a cable pulley to roughly hip height and stand side-on to the stack.
  2. Grasp the handle with the hand farthest from the machine, across your body.
  3. Keep a slight bend in your elbow and lead with the elbow as you raise.
  4. Lift the weight up and out to shoulder height, feeling the side delt work.
  5. Let your hand travel slightly past your midline at the bottom for a deep stretch.
  6. Lower under control and keep tension on the side delt throughout.
