Eccentric-Accentuated Cable Lateral Raise
How to do it
- Stand sideways to a cable machine with the pulley at the lowest position.
- Grab the handle with the far hand.
- Raise your arm out to the side with a normal tempo.
- Slowly lower the weight over 3-5 seconds on the eccentric phase.
- Focus on controlling the descent to maximize time under tension.
- The slow negative targets the lateral deltoid more effectively.
