Strength exercise
Dumbbell Renegade Row
How to do it
- Place two dumbbells on the floor shoulder width apart and set up in a high plank with one hand gripping each dumbbell.
- Set your feet wider than hip width for stability and brace your core to keep your hips level.
- Row one dumbbell up toward your ribs while pressing firmly into the floor with the opposite hand.
- Squeeze the latissimus dorsi and biceps of the working arm at the top of the row without letting your hips twist.
- Exhale as you row, lower the dumbbell back to the floor under control, then repeat on the other side.
- Keep your hips square to the floor throughout; avoid rotating your torso to help the dumbbell up.
