Strength exercise

Dip (Chest)

How to do it

  1. Grip the parallel bars of the dip station and press up to a locked out arm support, leaning the torso forward slightly.
  2. Cross the ankles and bend the knees to keep the feet clear of the floor.
  3. Lower the body slowly by bending the elbows, letting the torso lean further forward to load the chest.
  4. Descend until the shoulders drop just below elbow height.
  5. Press back up through the chest and triceps to full arm extension.
  6. Avoid shrugging the shoulders up toward the ears at the bottom position.
