Constant-Tension Cable Lateral Raise

How to do it

  1. Stand sideways to a cable machine with the pulley at the lowest position.
  2. Grab the handle with the far hand.
  3. Raise your arm out to the side with a controlled tempo.
  4. Maintain constant tension by never letting the weight stack touch down.
  5. Lower slowly without fully relaxing at the bottom.
  6. Focus on keeping the lateral deltoid engaged throughout.
