Strength exercise
Cable Single Arm Row (Low)
How to do it
- Set the cable pulley at its lowest position and stand facing the machine, gripping the handle with one hand.
- Set a staggered stance with a slight forward lean and brace your core before pulling.
- Pull the handle straight back toward your hip, keeping the elbow close to your torso as it travels behind you.
- Squeeze the latissimus dorsi and biceps at the back of the movement while your opposite hand rests on your knee or hip for support.
- Exhale on the pull, hold briefly, then extend your arm forward under control to stretch back out.
- Keep your hips square to the machine throughout; avoid rotating your torso to extend the range of motion.
