Strength exercise
Cable Row (V-Bar)
How to do it
- Sit at a cable row station with knees slightly bent and feet braced against the platform, gripping a V-bar attachment with palms facing each other.
- Sit tall with a slight forward lean and brace your core to hold your torso stable.
- Pull the handle toward your lower ribs, keeping your elbows tucked close to your sides.
- Drive the elbows back until the latissimus dorsi and biceps are fully contracted, with the core holding your position steady.
- Exhale as you row in, pause briefly, then extend your arms back out under control without letting your torso follow.
- Keep your shoulders down and back throughout; avoid shrugging as you pull the handle in.
