Strength exercise

Cable Single Arm Curl

How to do it

  1. Attach a single handle to a low pulley and stand side-on to the machine, taking the handle in the hand farthest from the stack with an underhand grip.
  2. Stand with your feet staggered for a stable base and let your arm extend fully so the cable pulls your hand toward the machine.
  3. Brace your core and keep your working elbow pinned to your ribs for the entire set.
  4. Curl the handle up toward your shoulder, rotating your palm slightly upward and squeezing the biceps hard at the top.
  5. Exhale on the way up and inhale as you lower the handle back to a full stretch under control.
  6. Avoid twisting your torso to swing the handle up; keep the rotation confined to your forearm and wrist.
