Cable Bicep Curl

How to do it

  1. Set the cable machine's pulley to the lowest position and attach a handle of your choice, then stand facing the machine with feet hip width apart.
  2. Grip the handle with your palm rotated up and your arm extended toward the pulley.
  3. Brace your core and keep your chest tall so the cable's tension does not pull you forward.
  4. Curl the handle up toward your shoulder in a steady arc, keeping your elbow pinned at your side and contracting through the biceps.
  5. Exhale as you curl up and inhale as you extend back down, keeping the cable taut through the bottom.
  6. Avoid letting your shoulder roll forward to finish the rep; keep the movement isolated to the elbow joint.
