Strength exercise

Cable Fly (Incline)

How to do it

  1. Set both cable pulleys to the bottom position and place an incline bench centered between them, adjusting the backrest to roughly 30 to 45 degrees.
  2. Sit back against the bench and grasp a handle in each hand, starting with arms extended down and slightly out to your sides.
  3. Brace your core and sweep both handles upward and inward in an arcing path until your hands meet above your upper chest.
  4. Squeeze across the upper chest at the top before slowly lowering the handles back down against the resistance.
  5. Keep a steady tempo, exhaling as you raise the handles and inhaling as you lower them.
  6. Keep your shoulder blades pressed into the bench rather than letting them roll forward as your arms come together.
