Strength exercise

Tuck Hold

How to do it

  1. Sit on the floor with the knees bent and the feet lifted slightly off the ground.
  2. Lean the torso back slightly while keeping the spine long rather than rounded.
  3. Brace the core hard and balance on the sit bones with the shins parallel to the floor.
  4. Rest the arms extended forward or lightly on the shins to help maintain balance.
  5. Breathe in a steady, controlled rhythm without holding the breath during the hold.
  6. Hold for the prescribed duration, typically 15 to 30 seconds, then release the feet to the floor.
