Strength exercise
Ab Wheel Rollout (Kneeling)
How to do it
- Kneel on a folded mat or pad so the knees are cushioned, with the wheel set directly in front of you.
- Grip the handles evenly and align your hips directly above your knees before starting.
- Brace the abdominals and roll the wheel forward while keeping the knees anchored on the pad as the pivot point.
- Limit the roll-out distance to a range where the hips stay level and the back does not sag toward the floor.
- Squeeze the core to draw the wheel back toward the knees, keeping the movement originating from the torso.
- Keep the hips stacked over the knees throughout so the lower body stays stable while the core does the work.
