Strength exercise
TRX Side Plank
How to do it
- Adjust the suspension trainer straps to ankle height, slide both feet into the foot cradles, and turn onto one side to set up a side plank on your forearm or straight arm.
- Stack your feet in the cradles and align your shoulders, hips, and ankles in one straight line.
- Brace your core to control the sway of the suspended straps as you hold the position.
- Keep your hips lifted and squared forward, resisting the pull of the straps toward the floor.
- Breathe steadily through the hold for the full work duration, keeping the supporting shoulder stacked over the elbow or wrist.
- A common fault is letting the hips drop or rotate backward, so keep the core braced and the hips high throughout.
