Strength exercise

TRX Plank

How to do it

  1. Adjust the suspension trainer straps to ankle height and slide your feet into the foot cradles, then walk out into a high plank with hands under your shoulders.
  2. Brace your core and keep a straight line from your head to your heels, with the straps supporting your feet.
  3. Hold the position steady, resisting any sway from the suspended straps as they add instability to the plank.
  4. Keep your shoulders stacked over your wrists and your hips level throughout the hold.
  5. Breathe in a steady rhythm for the full work duration, keeping tension through your core the entire time.
  6. A common fault is letting the hips sag or pike as the straps swing, so actively brace the core to keep the body rigid.
