Slant Board Calf Raise

How to do it

  1. Stand on a slant board with the balls of both feet planted on the raised edge and the heels resting on the downward slope.
  2. Set the feet hip width apart and let the heels sink toward the floor to feel a stretch through the calves.
  3. Rest one hand lightly on a wall or rack for balance without letting it support your body weight.
  4. Press through the balls of the feet and rise up onto the toes as high as the incline allows.
  5. Pause briefly at the top of the raise, then lower back down under control to the stretched position.
  6. Keep the knees straight throughout and avoid bouncing out of the bottom stretch.
