Strength exercise
A-Skip
How to do it
- Stand tall with a slight forward lean, core braced, and arms bent at 90 degrees.
- Drive the right knee up to hip height, extending the hip with the glutes to pop off the ground.
- Rise onto the ball of the left foot as the right knee lifts, keeping the ankle stiff to load the calves.
- Snap the raised foot down actively under the hips, engaging the quadriceps to reset the stride.
- Alternate sides in a quick skipping rhythm, swinging the arms opposite the driving leg.
- Keep the cadence light and fast, minimizing ground contact time on each skip.
