Strength exercise
Single Leg Balance (Eyes Closed)
How to do it
- Stand tall on one leg with the opposite knee lifted to hip height, eyes open to find your balance point first.
- Once stable, close your eyes and keep the standing knee soft while relying on foot and ankle feel for balance.
- Brace your core firmly to keep the hips square and the torso stacked over the standing foot without a visual reference.
- Maintain the position for the prescribed count, breathing steadily and resisting the urge to reopen your eyes early.
- Keep the arms relaxed or lightly extended to the sides to help fine-tune small balance corrections.
- Open your eyes, lower the lifted leg, and switch sides to complete the rep on the opposite leg.
