Strength exercise
Single Leg Balance
How to do it
- Stand tall on one leg with the opposite knee lifted to hip height in front of you.
- Fix your eyes on a point straight ahead and keep the standing knee soft, not locked out.
- Brace your core to keep the hips level and the torso stacked directly over the standing foot.
- Maintain the position for the prescribed count, breathing steadily without letting the torso sway.
- Keep the arms relaxed at the sides or lightly out to the sides for balance control.
- Lower the lifted leg and switch sides to complete the rep on the opposite leg.
