Strength exercise
Side Walk (Banded)
How to do it
- Loop a resistance band around your ankles or just above your knees and stand with feet hip-width apart.
- Sink into a quarter squat, keeping tension on the band and your chest lifted.
- Brace your hands and forearms in a relaxed guard position while gripping the stance firmly through your feet.
- Step sideways with the lead foot against the band's resistance, then follow with the trailing foot to reset the stance width.
- Keep your core braced throughout to prevent your hips from rising or dipping as you travel.
- Continue stepping in one direction for the set, then repeat leading with the opposite foot.
