Cardio exercise
Shuttle Run
How to do it
- Set two markers or lines a fixed distance apart, such as 10 to 20 meters.
- Start in a low, athletic stance at one marker facing the opposite line.
- Sprint hard to the far marker, touching or crossing the line with a hand or foot as required.
- Plant the foot and pivot sharply to change direction back toward the starting marker.
- Repeat the sprint-and-turn pattern for the prescribed number of shuttles or set time.
- Breathe in short, powerful bursts and keep the turns low and controlled rather than standing tall through the pivot.
