Cardio exercise

Running (Interval)

How to do it

  1. Begin with an easy jog to settle into a running rhythm before the first interval.
  2. On the set signal, accelerate to a hard, sustained running pace for the prescribed work interval.
  3. Keep the arm drive strong and the stride quick throughout the fast segment.
  4. Slow to a light jog or walk for the prescribed recovery interval once the work segment ends.
  5. Repeat the alternating pattern of hard efforts and recovery segments for the planned number of rounds.
  6. Breathe hard and rhythmically during work intervals and let the breathing settle during recovery.
