Hill Sprints

How to do it

  1. Find a hill or steep incline of moderate length and stand at the base facing upward.
  2. Set the posture with a slight forward lean from the ankles and the arms bent at roughly 90 degrees.
  3. Drive the knees up and forward, pushing hard off the balls of the feet with each stride.
  4. Pump the arms forcefully to help drive the legs up the slope at a hard effort.
  5. Walk or jog back down to the base as a recovery interval before the next sprint.
  6. Breathe in a strong, rhythmic pattern and keep the stride short and quick rather than overstriding on the incline.
