Cardio exercise
Running (Hill)
How to do it
- Choose a long, gradual hill and begin running upward at a controlled, sustained effort.
- Shorten the stride slightly and lean forward from the ankles rather than bending at the waist.
- Drive the knees up moderately while pumping the arms to help maintain forward momentum on the grade.
- Maintain the effort continuously for the length of the climb rather than sprinting in short bursts.
- Ease the pace on the descent, landing softly to control the downhill impact.
- Breathe in a deeper, steady rhythm to match the increased demand of the uphill grade.
