Sandbag Zercher Squat

How to do it

  1. Cradle the sandbag in the crooks of both elbows, holding it snug against the front of the body at hip height.
  2. Set the feet shoulder width apart, brace the core, and keep the chest lifted against the forward pull of the load.
  3. Sit the hips back and down, allowing the elbows to stay tucked close to the ribs as the bag rests in place.
  4. Lower until the thighs reach parallel, feeling the quadriceps and glutes drive the depth of the squat.
  5. Push through the whole foot to stand, keeping the sandbag from swinging away from the torso.
  6. Exhale near the top and reset the grip on the bag before starting the next rep.
