Strength exercise
B-Skip
How to do it
- Stand tall with a slight forward lean, core braced, and arms bent and ready to pump.
- Drive one knee up to hip height, then extend the lower leg forward so the foot reaches out in front of the knee.
- Snap the extended leg back down and underneath the hips, clawing the foot toward the ground to load the glutes.
- Rise onto the ball of the opposite foot as the working leg cycles, keeping the ankle stiff to work the calves.
- Alternate legs in a continuous skipping rhythm, swinging the arms opposite the driving leg.
- Keep the torso upright and the cadence quick, minimizing time spent on the ground between skips.
